All events that are a part of the Summer Reading Program are on a first come, first serve basis. You may register when you attend your first event on a Wednesday. Registration is not required for story times. Any program that has a second time slot on the same day is a repeat performance of that program. In support of your child’s safety, an adult must remain in the library with all children 12 and younger. Also, an adult must stay in the same room with children 6 and younger.
Monday, July 7, 14, 21, & 28th – Movie Monday will be shown at 2:00 PM in the Giddens Conference Center. The movies are intended for elementary age children.
Tuesday, July 8, 15, 22, & 29th – A Preschool Story Time will be held for children ages 3 to 5. Come investigate wings, stings, and wiggly things in the Youth Activity Room at 10:00 AM and again at 11:00 AM for a repeat performance. This story time will include songs, finger plays, stories, movement, and crafts.
Wednesday, July 9, 16, 23, & 30th – Art @ Your Library will be held in the Youth Activity Room for elementary age students at 2:00 PM and repeating at 3:30 PM.
Thursday, July 10, 17, 24, & 31st – Snack Pack will be held in the Youth Activity Room at 2:00 PM for elementary students. Bring your own snack and listen to the reading of a chapter book…title TBA.
In the months of May, June & July:
Thursdays at 10:00 AM - A Grand Read will be held in the Young Children’s Room. Come hear a fun story, or 2, that will be read by a “Grand” person. If you are interested in being the “Grand” person who does the reading please call 251-929-1465.
