Reader’s Theater – Activity Room
Join Ms. Stephanie for a time of theatrical fun for ages 8-12! We will become characters from a different book each week by making puppets, practicing our roles, and then creating our very own puppet theater! There is no need to memorize as we will read right from the script.
NaNoWriMo – Study Room #3
(Only Happening in November) NaNoWriMo: Participate in National Writing Month with us by setting a goal of writing a 50,000-word project and accomplish it with other teens! Some write novels, others write plays, poetry, memoirs...it really doesn’t matter as long as you are writing!
Baby Storytime – Activity Room
Ages 0-18 months. This storytime is for our lap-sitters and crawlers. The program lasts approximately 30 minutes, with about 10-15 minutes dedicated to reading and rhyme, and 20 minutes dedicated to tummy time/floor play or socialization for parents and babies!
Genealogy Assistance using FamilySearch.org – Computer Lab
LDS volunteers will be available for one-on-one assistance with the use of the Family Search database. Use our computers or bring your own laptop. Reservations are required for this class; please call the Reference Desk at 251-929-1464 to reserve your spot.
Homeschool Hour – Activity Room
Ages 8-15 years. We will explore a new topic every week, followed by a hands-on craft or STEAM based activity. 8-12 years will learn with Ms. Stephanie, while 13+ split off with Ms. Allyson. Activities will be available for siblings 7 and under in the E room.
Outdoor Storytime – Fairhope Farmer’s Market
All ages. Join Ms. Grace behind Fairhope Public Library during the City of Fairhope's Farmer's Market for a very special storytime and activity! Starting September 19th.
Lego Club – Activity Room
Ages 8-12 years. Do you love LEGOs? So do we! Kids ages 8-12 can come in every 1st and 3rd Thursday for collaborative play and building. Create your own castle, spaceship, or even a LEGO Brickfilm with your friends.
Free Build – Activity Room
All ages. Our Activity Room will be open and stocked with Lincoln logs, blocks, LEGOs, and more. This is unstructured free play and exploration. Parents are required to directly supervise their children and help clean up. Stop by and see what you can build!
Close Knit Knitting Group – Board Room
The Close Knit Circle invites all hand crafters to join them in the Board Room. All experience levels welcome.
